CLERMONT TOWN BOARD MEETING
December 27, 2005
The Clermont Town Board held its year end Town Board meeting on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Those present were Supervisor William E. Banks, Councilman Staats, Councilman Harned and Councilman Tousey. Councilwoman Lent was absent. Others present wereAnne Poleschner, Hank Himelright Amandus Fuchs, Sr., Charles Larsen, Sharon and David Jennings, Laurence Saulpaugh, Peter Cichetti, Robert Desmond and Dianne O’Neal and Chris Nolan.
Supervisor Banks called the meeting to order
· Karp, Ackerman, Skabowski and Hogan – Terms and Objectives for compilation of financial information for preparation of Annual Financial Report, etc. A motion was made by Councilman Harned, seconded by Councilman Staats to sign the agreement with Karp, Ackerman, Skabowski and Hogan. All in favor. So carried.
· Letter from Sharon and David Jennings regarding closing of road between County Route 8 and South Road as a seasonal road by Clermont Highway Superintendent James Potts. They would like it to remain open for for convenience and safety reasons. After discussion, Councilman Tousey will contact Superintendent Potts, however, as the board stated, there is little that they can do, as Superintendent Potts has the authority by his position to make this decision.
A motion was made by Councilman Harned, seconded by Councilman Staats to approve General Abstract #13, pages 1 & 2, vouchers #341-366 in the amount of $12,148.30. All in favor. So carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Harned, seconded by Councilman Staats to approve Highway abstract #13, page l, vouchers 131-138 in the amount of $5,091.73. All in favor. So carried.
Supervisor Banks thanked Councilman Tousey for eight years of service to the Town on the Town Board and his dedication during that time. Others on the board and the general public also thanked him. Councilman Tousey urged everyone to get involved and partake in the process. Cake and cookies were served after the meeting.
Interviews for positions on the Planning Board, Zoning Board and Board of Assessement Review will be held immediately following the meeting.
A motion was made by Councilman Harned, seconded by Councilman Tousey to adjourn.
