CLERMONT TOWN BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

JANUARY 17, 2005

A special meeting of the Clermont Town Board was held on Monday, January 17, 2005 to review the books of the Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Judges and Bookkeeper of the Town of Clermont. Those present were Supervisor Banks, Councilwoman Lent, Councilman Staats, Town Clerk Mary Helen Shannon, Tax Collector Joan Buser, Bookkeeper Christine Van Ort and Court Clerk Barbara Melinsky for Judge Christensen and Judge Banks’ books were brought in by Supervisor Banks. The books were audited and approved for 2004. William Kimball, reporter for the Kingston Freeman was also present.

Following the public hearing on Local Law#1-2005 Adoption of a Code of Ethics, Supervisor Banks thanked those in attendance, Robert Desmond, Amandus Fuchs, Jr. and Chris Nolan for their comment both written and oral.

Supervisor Banks recommended adopting Local Law #1-2005 as presented with changes to be made at a later date. A motion was made by Councilwoman Lent and seconded by Councilman Staats to adopt Local Law #1-2005 – Code of Ethics for the Town of Clermont.

A roll call vote was as follows:

Staats – aye Lent – aye Banks – aye

Councilman Harned and Tousey were absent - Local Law #1-2005 adopted 3 – 0

A motion was made by Councilman Staats, seconded by Councilwoman Lent to adjourn.
