FIRE
COMMISSIONERS MEETING
JANUARY
5, 2004
The
Clermont Fire Commissioners held their regular monthly meeting on Monday,
January 5, 2004 at 6:30 P.M. In the absence of Supervisor Broast, Deputy
Supervisor Staats opened the meeting. Present were Commissioner Lent,
Commissioner Harned and Commissioner Tousey. Also present were newly appointed
Chief Laurence Saulpaugh, lst Assistant James Potts and out-going Chief and
newly appointed
2nd
Assistant Mark Schiller.
A
motion was made to waive the reading of the minutes, as copies were provided and
approve them by Commissioner Lent, seconded by Commissioner Harned.

calls for the month
- No
drill, due to holidays
Discussed
alarm activations at Devereaux Foundation on Pleasantvale Road and if there was
a problem that should be looked into at that location.
All
truck maintenance is up-to-date. There are several dry hydrants to be installed
at various locations and repairs to be made to two hydrants on the former
Clermont Horse Farm. Also, they have decided not to put a hydrant at the Mill
Road location because the pond has gone almost dry during the dry
season.
The
Commissioners thanked out-going Chief Mark Schiller for his two years of service
to the community as chief.
Commissioner
Harned motioned to approve, seconded by Commissioner Lent Fire abstract #1, page
l, vouchers #1 & 2 in the amount of $11,108.05. All in favor. So
carried.
A
motion was made by Commissioner Lent, seconded by Commissioner Harned to adjourn
at 7:00 P.M. All in favor. So carried.
