FIRE COMMISSIONERS MEETING
   August 1, 2005

The Clermont Fire Commissioners held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, August l, 2005 at 6:30 P.M. Supervisor William Banks opened the meeting.  Present were Commissioner Lent, Commissioner Staats, Commissioner Harned and Commissioner Tousey. Also present was Chief Laurence Saulpaugh.

A motion was made to waive the reading of the minutes, as copies were provided and to approve them by Commissioner Staats, seconded by Commissioner Lent.  All in favor.  So carried.

Chief Saulpaugh gave the following reports:

June 2005:

Sister Peter of the Carmelites offered the use of the buildings on Woods Road as an emergency shelter, in the event of an emergency in the Town.  They could house up to 125 people and have a full generator system.  This information will be added to the Emergency Preparedness Plan as a contact and emergency shelter

July 2005:

Report on the addition to the Route 9G firehouse – checking into switching electric while construction is being done.

Chief Saulpaugh will call the DEC Ranger to see the new pump, so that grant can be completed and grant money received.

OSHA requires that interior firefighters be fit tested for SCOT air paks and this has been completed, invoice is being paid this month.

A motion was made by Commissioner Lent, seconded by Commissioner Harned to approve payment of Fire Abstract #8, vouchers #90-102 in the amount of $1,620.01.  All in favor.  So carried.

A motion was made by Commissioner Harned, seconded by Commissioner Staats to adjourn at 7:00 P.M.  So carried.
