FIRE COMMISSIONERS MEETING

November 7, 2005

The Clermont Fire Commissioners held their regular meeting on Monday, November 7, 2005.  Present were Supervisor Banks, Commissioner Lent, Commissioner Harned and Commissioner Tousey.  Commissioner Staats was absent.  Chief Laurence Saulpaugh and  1st Assistant Chief Mark Schiller were also present.

Supervisor Banks opened the meeting. Commissioner Harned made a motion; seconded by Commissioner Tousey to waive the reading of the minutes as copies were provided.  All in favor.  So carried.

Chief Saulpaugh gave the following report for October.  (Copy attached)
Calls for the month were:

The drill for the month was at held at Station #1 involving switching hose and the portable tank on 604.

On October 16th the Fire Company drilled with Livingston Fire Department and others at the Adventist Retirement Home.  Clermont was assigned to traffic control at Route 9 and County Route 10.  The drill was critiqued afterwards and it was felt it went very well.

New gear has been purchased for three new members.  It was reported that reimbursement has been made by the County Treasurer/ Workers Compensation fund for physicals for fire personnel in the amount of $605.00.

Commissioner Lent has contacted Congressman Sweeney's office, speaking to
Chris Nedwick the Hudson Valley representative, seeking any financial assistance they can give towards the addition to the firehouse.

A motion was made by Commissioner Lent, seconded by Commissioner Harned to approve Fire abstract #11, vouchers #127-140 in the amount of $5,116.07.  All in favor.  So Carried.

A motion was made to adjourn by Commissioner Harned, seconded by Commissioner Lent at 6:55 P.M
