Clermont Zoning Board of Appeals
Germantown, NY 12526
August 12, 2015
Joint public hearing of the Clermont Zoning Board of Appeals and the Clermont Planning Board
The Clermont Planning Board is the lead agency.
ZBA members attending: Hank, Pete, John, Luke, Don and Phyllis.
Meeting is called to order at: 7:34 pm by Larry Saulpaugh
Hank asks for a motion to continue the open public hearing for Ripley Hathaway’s application. John makes motion and Don second the motion to continue the open public hearing. They all are in favor and the meeting is continued. Hank states the only new documentation is the SEQRA. There are no outstanding items. Hank states that he needs five copies of the changes to the application. No updates have been provided to the Zoning Board. Ripley provides three extra copies of the map to the Zoning board members.
There are recommendations from the Columbia County Planning Department. Mary hands copies of the letters out to the Zoning board members.
Larry asks for the health department response. They have not gotten it yet. They will provide approval once the final configuration is complete. All other information has been provided. Larry asks if there is any other needed discussion regarding this application. There is none. There is no public in attendance for this application.
Each board makes a motion to approve the permit request. For the Zoning board Don makes a motion to grant the permit with the stipulation of BOH approval. Luke seconds it. All votes in approval and the motion is carried. The Planning Board is lead agency and they vote all in favor as well. The attorney Matthew representing Freeman-Howard assists with completing the SEQRA form.
Southwood hearing for Mr. Perry is opened. ZBA would like to have fencing added where the property drops off on – ledge. They would like it to be written on the maps what and where the fencing will be. It can be removable as long as it is suitable. Matthew suggests that the SEQRA is not completed for this until the map is updated with the fencing update noted on it.
No one else has anything more to add or question. For the Zoning board, Don makes motion to adjourn the Southwood hearing, Luke seconds it. All are in favor in roll call vote. The hearing is closed.
Respectfully submitted,
Tamera Connolly, Secretary
