Hank reviews the application from Ralph Arlyck. He presents the board with an application fee of $100. Some of the Board members will be stopping by the site for a site review for the property at 122 Old Town Road in Germantown. The applicant wants to have solar panels installed. The request is for a 40 foot variance. Hank asks if there is any other discussion if someone wants to make a motion to accept the application. Peter makes the motion, Don seconds it. All are in favor and the application is accepted and the check is collected.
Verizon representatives are present. The attorney reviews that the 120 foot tower with light of 4 feet will go to 124 foot total. This will be on Pleasant Vale Road. It will provide coverage for much of the local area. They have already been to the planning board which will be the lead agency. The updates are reviewed. The balloon test was done yesterday. The result s can take a couple of weeks to get and then they will be provided to the board. There are no historical sites being impacted. They did get a driveway permit. They are putting up steel fence at the suggestion of the planning board. It will be on the landowner’s property on the farm side. The need for this is to keep the cows out. They are still gathering a little more paperwork and permits. There may be a joint meeting of the planning board and the zoning board sometime in September. No date has been set yet. Luke asks if the location is staying the same or if it is changing? They did evaluate three spots on the property, but this is the same location that was originally selected and where the balloon test was. John asks how many users can be added to this tower. It is a small tower which limits it. It is a four carrier pole. Peter mentions that there may be consideration to as if they feel there would be future need for more towers or if they feel that this one will be enough. Hank asks if there are any other questions. There are none at this time.
Next matter of business, Hank mentions that a bill will be sent out to Colin Brown. He owes money for the interpretations. There will be no further discussion on this matter while monies are owed. There will be a joint public hearing on August 12th at 7:30 pm between the Zoning Board and Planning Board. This is for the NorthWood application.
SouthWood, there is discussion on the entry and it would be nice if one or two of the board members could go there if they had not been there yet. Hank spoke with Hart Perry and people are welcome to go there at any time.
