TOWN OF CLERMONT
BUDGET WORKSHOP
SEPTEMBER 13, 2010
The Town Board held a budget workshop on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Town Hall. Those present were Supervisor Staats, Councilwoman O’Neal, Councilman Desmond, Councilman Jones and Councilwoman Moore.
Supervisor Staats opened the budget workshop and provided balances for all funds, an analysis of expected revenues and expenditures for 2011 and a comparison of salaries on average of other towns in Columbia County.
Each appropriation and revenue account was discussed for the General and Highway funds.
The salaries for 2011 were proposed as follows:
Town Council $2,500.00 each
Supervisor $5, 500.00
Tax Collector $4,000.00
Justices $5,145.00 each
Court Clerk $172.50 per month each
Budget Officer $300.00
Assessor $14,000.00
Town Clerk $6,500.00
Custodian $1,600.00
Superintendent $44,000.00
Highway FT $17.37 hr.
Highway PT $11.00 hr.
There were no changes in the Planning, Zoning Board or Building Inspector salaries.
The workshop scheduled for September 21st is cancelled. Supervisor Staats will complete the tentative budget and email to town board and clerk for review.
