SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

NOVEMBER 14, 2011

The Supervisor called a special meeting for Monday, November 13, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. to open bids for the advertised 2012 Dump Truck Body and any other business, which may come before the board. Those in attendance were Supervisor Raymond Staats, Councilwoman Nancy Moore, and Councilman Robert Desmond. Absent were Councilwoman Dianne O’Neal and Councilman Richard Jones. Others present were Highway Superintendent James Potts, Councilman-elect Edward Kahle, Councilman-elect Evan Hempel and Charles Larsen.

Supervisor Staats opened the meeting with the salute to the flag and the public notice was read by the Clerk authorizing the purchase of the 2012 Dump truck body from the Highway Capital Reserve Equipment Fund.

One bid was received and was opened by Supervisor Staats. The bid received from Zwack, Inc.of Stephentown is for $68,249.00.

A motion was made by Councilman Desmond, seconded by Councilwoman Moore to accept the bid from Zwack, Inc. for $68,249.00 subject to Superintendent Potts review. All in favor. So carried.

The truck body is under state bid through Ben Funk, Inc not to exceed the price of $156,107.20. Superintendent Potts will order the cab and chassis and will need a check when delivered possibly in February. Once the body is completed by Zwack a check will be needed.

A motion was made to adjourn by Councilman Desmond, seconded by Councilwoman Moore at 6:15 P.M.
