CLERMONT PLANNING BOARD
DECEMBER 14, 2011
The Clermont Planning Board held its regular meeting on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. Those present were Chairman Laurence Saulpaugh, Clayton Andrus, Thomas Jantzen, Jennifer Phillips, Brenda Case, Town Attorney Andy Howard, Town Engineer George Schmitt, Robert Desmond, Patty Werner, Faye Werner and Bill Clark for the Carmelite Sisters.
Minutes: A motion was made to approve the minutes of the November meeting by Tom Jantzen, seconded by Brenda Case. All in favor. So carried.
Faye Werner is proposing a subdividing two acres on Nevis Road from a parcel of 80 to 90 acres. There have been no other subdivisions on the property. She will need a survey and DOH approval for a septic system. She will return at the next meeting.
Carmelite Sisters: Bill Clark, representing the Carmelite Sisters came in with a proposal for a new building on the Woods Road property which will include a chapel and memorial house, honoring Mother Angeline, the founder of the Carmelite Order. It will be 4700 square feet with a basement. The building will be open to the public. Our engineer, George Schmitt will look at the plans. A public hearing will be held on the site plan application. Test holes were dug for the septic system and they are seeking BOH approval, although there will be no fixed occupancy for the building. The Planning Board will conduct a site inspection on Saturday, January 7th at 10:00 A.M.
Bob Desmond brought in the laminated maps showing the tax map identification numbers of all parcels in town. This should make it easier to identify adjoining landowners of a parcel. Tom Jantzen will make a case for the maps, which will be kept at the town hall.
A motion was made to adjourn by Clayton Andrus, seconded by Jennifer Phillips at 8:40 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Helen Shannon
Secretary
