CLERMONT TOWN BOARD

REVIEW OF BOOKS

JANUARY 14, 2012

The Clermont Town Board met on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Town Hall to review the books of the Supervisor, Town Clerk, Tax Collector and Town Justices. Those present were Supervisor Staats, Councilman Desmond, Councilwoman Moore, Councilman Kahle and Councilman Hempel. Others present were Brian Fitzgerald, Bookkeeper, Joan Buser, Tax Collector, Judge Ron Banks, Court Clerk Lee Gallant and Town Clerk Mary Helen Shannon.

The Board reviewed all the books for the above and also reviewed policies, which are in effect. Those reviewed were Cash Management Policy, Code of Ethics, Sexual Harassment Policy, Highway Personnel Policy, Investment Policy and Procurement Policy. Supervisor Staats will speak to the Town Attorney on several questions regarding the Code of Ethics and Procurement Policies. The Emergency Preparedness Plan was also reviewed and there are updates, which will be made as soon as possible.

There are also possible clarifications to the Zoning and Planning Boards fee schedule, which were discussed and will be presented to the Town Attorney for review before a determination is made. They are as follows:

Conversion of Single Family to Two Family $400.00

Conversion of Single Family to Multi Family $400.00/additional unit

Two family, Multi Family or Townhouse/Condo $400.00/unit *

* First unit is exempted if evidence of recreation payment at time of subdivision is presented with special use permit application.

All fees including recreation fees will be collected by the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Appeals before final approval of subject action. Recreation fees refundable upon application by applicant, if permit is not executed by expiration of special use permit.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 P.M. on a motion made by Councilwoman Moore, seconded by Councilman Desmond.
