The Town Board held a special meeting on Saturday, March 17 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Town Hall for the purpose of holding interviews for the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals and opening bids for ballfield fence and survey. Those present were Supervisor Staats, Councilman Evan Hempel, Councilwoman Nancy Moore and Councilman Desmond. Councilman Edward Kahle was unable to attend. There was no one else present.
The Board interviewed Kris Gildersleeve.
There was a discussion of the Zoning Board and Planning Board salaries in relation to members not attending meetings and whether they should receive the full annual salary.
The Town Board opened two bids for the fence at the ballfield as follows:
Roma Fence
$8400.00 for heavy duty with galvanized
$8100 for heavy duty with vinyl coated fabric
$8000.00 for basic chain link system – galvanized fabric
$7800.00 for basic chain link system - vinyl fabric
Red Hook Fence
High galvanized chain link – 615 feet of 2 x 9x48" with posts, top rail, bottom tension wire, etc. $9100.00
The Little League has offered to pay $2500.00 towards the fence. Councilman Hempel suggested pre-payment for the advertising signs for a longer duration and they could possibly put more into the fence. Supervisor Staats will discuss this with the Little League.
The Board opened bids for the survey of .47 acre parcel from George Saulpaugh to the Town as follows:

Supervisor Staats will discuss the bids with the surveyors.
We have the RFP for the Town Hall insulation project. A public notice will be run for contractors to get their copies. A special meeting will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 11:00 A.M. to open the bids, which will be due on that date and to discuss any other business which may come before the board.
A motion was made to adjourn the special meeting by Councilwoman Moore, seconded by Councilman Desmond at 11:15 A.M.
Respectfully submitted,
