CLERMONT PLANNING BOARD
SEPTEMBER 11, 2013
The Clermont Planning Board held its regular meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. Those in attendance were Chairman Laurence Saulpaugh, Jennifer Phillips, Clayton Andrus, Tom Jantzen and Robert Queirolo. Aldo Dusman and Brenda Case were absent. Others present were Andy Howard, Town Attorney, George Schmitt, Town Engineer and Bob Desmond.
Chairman Saulpaugh opened the meeting.
MINUTES: The minutes of the July meeting were approved on a motion made by Clayton Andrus, seconded by Tom Jantzen. All in favor. So carried.
The minutes of the August meeting were approved on a motion made by Robert Quierolo, seconded by Jennifer Phillips. All in favor. So carried.
Board members were advised on their credits accumulated for this year and of upcoming workshops that are available to get their credits.
The Planning Board discussed the request from last month of Anne Spiess’ project designer Thomas McArthur for a second residence on a parcel located at 356 County Route 6. They were asked to get health department approval for location of a septic, which has been received. They also got County DPW approval for location of a driveway.
There was discussion about a recent boundary line change, which was approved for Irish Hills, Turkey Hill Road. One of the adjoining landowners was upset that it was approved. He had attended the public hearing and had no comments at the hearing. If he has any questions about the boundary line change he should come into the meeting and it can be explained to him. The boundary line change involved no further subdivision, just a realignment of lot sizes.
The former Thunderoc Farms has been sold and the new owners are planning to have a distillery on the property.
There was no other business to come before the board. A motion was made to adjourn at 7:50 P.M. by Jennifer Phillips, seconded by Clayton Andrus. All in favor.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Helen Shannon
Secretary
