TOWN OF CLERMONT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

One (1) Seasonal Temporary Laborer

This position will run from July 1st through October 15, 2021

Salary: $20/HR

Hours: Two weekdays/week for 2 hours/shift. Timing is flexible and weather-dependent. There are NO paid holidays and NO medical benefits

Work Activities: (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY) Performs a variety of groundskeeping activities including but not limited to trimming lawns, watering, planting, and weeding; trash removal on park grounds; carrying supplies and tools.

Supervision: Laborer will report to Councilperson Lusher Shute or the Town Supervisor. Laborers must be willing to perform routine manual work; have the ability to operate a weed whacker; have physical endurance; and be in good physical condition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be 18-years of age or older. Some experience in manual labor is desirable. Must be prompt, self-directed, and communicative.

ASSESSMENT ROLL AND GRIEVANCE INFORMATION Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law:

1. Notice is hereby given that the Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Clermont NY is completed, and a copy thereof may be seen at 1795 Route 9 Clermont, NY 12526 until June 1, 2021.

2. Notice is hereby given the Assessor will be available for the Tentative Roll by phone at 518-929-3845 on the dates of May 5/6 & 5/14 from 4PM-8PM and 5/8 & 5/22 from 8AM-12noon.

3. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Clermont will meet to hear and examine all properly filed complaints in relation to assessments of Real Property at 1795 Route 9 Clermont, NY 12526 during the hours of 3PM-5PM and 6PM-8PM on June 1, 2021.

4. A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the Assessor’s Office or the Columbia

Public Notice:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 1st day of March, 2021, the Town Board of the Town of Clermont, County of Columbia, New York, duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Article 7 of the Town Law of the State of New York:

Said resolution authorizes the Town Supervisor to execute a Quit Claim Deed returning certain portions of unused land that were taken in connection with a right of way project in 1949 to the current owner, Christopher Nolan, the Town Board having found and resolved that the subject portion of land is excess and unused land that can be abandoned and revert back to the landowner subject to said Landowner paying for all surveying, legal and filing costs relative to same.

A copy of the resolution is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the Town Clerk located at the Clermont Town Hall, 1795 Route 9, Town of Clermont, County of Columbia and State of New York
