Columbia County Recycling

ALL RECYCLABLES MUST BE CLEAN, WITH NO FOOD DEBRIS.

If it is not on the list then it is considered to be TRASH and must be disposed of properly.

The following items are accepted for recycling at the Columbia County Transfer/Convenience Stations. 

  • Newspaper, Magazines, Junk Mail, Catalogs, Envelopes, Advertisements/Inserts, Soft cover books.
  • Cardboard boxes – NO Food Debris, Brown Bags.
  • Boxboard & Paperboard
    • Cereal boxes, Pasta boxes, Shoe boxes (tissue paper removed), Mixed Office paper.
  • Plastics – Clean and Free of Debris – #1, #2, & #5.
  • Milk jugs – Rinsed.
  • Bleach/Detergent bottles – Rinsed.
  • Water bottles, Soda bottles – Empty and Rinsed.
  • Aluminum can and bottles – Rinsed and Free of Debris.
  • Tin Cans – Rinsed and Free of Debris.
  • Glass bottles and jars – Rinsed and Free of Debris.

Due to handling requirements, E-Waste items will only be accepted at the Greenport Transfer Station.

Pursuant to §506 & §526 of the Real Property Tax Law:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessor of the City/Town of Clermont,

County of Columbia has completed the 2024 tentative assessment roll for the current year, a copy of which is filed with the Town Clerk.

The Assessor will be in attendance with such tentative roll at:
