NOTICE OF PUBLIC AUCTION

The Town of Clermont, shall sell at public auction at the Clermont Town Hall, 1795 Route 9, Clermont, New York 12526, on the 6th day of May 2024, at 5:00 o’clock in the evening, the real property located at Church Avenue, Town of Clermont, New York, bearing tax map number 180.-1-30.

No minimum bid has been set, and all bids are subject to final approval by the Town of Clermont Town Board. A copy of the Terms of Sale may be reviewed at the Office of the Town Clerk, Clermont Town Hall, 1795 Route 9, Clermont, New York 12526.

Comments regarding a Draft Short Term Rental regulation

Public Meeting of the Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Law Update Committee (CPLULU)

To Hear Comments regarding a Draft Short Term Rental regulation

May 14, 2024, 7-9 PM

Clermont Town Hall

The public is invited to join the CPLULU for a brief informational session regarding a draft Short Term Rental regulation. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for the public to comment upon the draft regulation.  The draft regulation is available at both Town Hall and via this weblink https://tinyurl.com/clermontnydraftstrreg.

Comments will be received in person at this meeting, via this weblink https://tinyurl.com/commentclermontny or in writing, if submitted prior to May 10. Written comments should be addressed to the CPLULU, Town of Clermont, 1795 Route 9, Germantown, NY 12536.

Please note this is not a formal Public Hearing. Rather, this is an opportunity for the committee to gather opinions and suggestions as it crafts a Draft Short Term Rental regulation as recommended in Economic Development section of the newly revised 2024 Town of Clermont Comprehensive Plan.

The Clermont Town Board held the 2024 Budget Public Hearing on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 6:55 P.M. at the Town Hall.

Those in attendance were Supervisor Staats, Councilman Robert Desmond, Councilman Kris Gildersleeve, Councilwoman Dawn Brownson and Councilwoman Lindsey Lusher-Shute.

Supervisor Staats opened the public hearing for the 2024 Budget and read the 2024 budget Highlights.

Total Budget $942,217

General Budget $510,621

Highway Budget $431,596

Tax rate per thousand .30 Down from .36

2-3% Salary increases,

No tax increase 2024

Supervisor Staats opened up the floor for any comments or questions on the 2024 budget.

PUBLIC HEARING LOCAL LAW 3-2023

The Clermont Town Board held the Public Hearing for Local Law 3 of 2023-A local law establishing income levels for real property tax exemptions for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers pursuant to 466-A of the Real Proper Tax Law on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 6:51 P.M. at the Town Hall.

Those in attendance were Supervisor Staats, Councilman Kris Gildersleeve, Councilwoman Dawn Brownson and Councilwoman Lusher Shute. Councilman Desmond was not in attendance.

Supervisor Staats opened the public hearing and the Town Clerk read the Public Notice for the Local Law.

The Clermont Town Board held the Public Hearing for Local Law 2 of 2023-A local law establishing income levels for real property tax exemptions for persons with disabilities and limited income on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 6:48 P.M. at the Town Hall.

Those in attendance were Supervisor Staats, Councilman Kris Gildersleeve, Councilwoman Dawn Brownson. Councilman Desmond and Councilwoman Lusher Shute were not in attendance.
